I have been away from flyfishing for a long time, but I seem to remember talk about 'Density Compensated' lines that would sink on an even plane and not belly first like those awful old fashioned lines. Now I am back I was a bit surprised by this 'new invention'.

The words 'snow' and 'eskimos' come to mind.
