Default Leader to Fly line, Tippet?
Hello all,
Just found this forum, new to fly fishing. I have a TFO BVK 9' 8WT with RIO Steelhead and Salmon WF8F. I hope this isn't to dumb of a question, but I would like to ask what size leader should I connect to it, and tippet? I am fishing end of summers/start of winters steelhead. Thank you very much!!

I use American steelhead knotless tapered leaders for my salmon fishing. Sort of roles reversed?
Fluorocarbon for summer use - this is as light as I would ever go, say on a #7 outfit?

Nylon bonefish and salmon leaders - 15 to 18 lb - for decent flows and autumn conditions. Carry a spool of 18 lb Seaguar also, to knot on for extra tippet length, as the leader becomes shorter.
