I'm looking to buy a new reel & some lines for my new rod but i keep going round in circles and don't know what to get

For the reel i'm looking to spend upto £250 inc a spare spool. As for line i was thinking airflo sixth sense for the inter & snowbee xs-xtra for floating?

It's a hardy zenith 10ft #6. Rod will be used on stillwaters & boat fishing on reservoirs.

For the lines imho look at the following;

Floating; Rio, Cortland 444 or Barrio
Inter; sixth sense is good

For the reel, out of my league i'm afraid.

Thanks, I ended up with the hardy demon & rio iline

You cant go wrong with Sixth sense inters,got a 6wght fast glass a few months back and wish Id got one sooner.Ive only had a couple of casts with an Iline(on grass)but from what Ican remember it was very slick and shot like a rocket!

Is there any difference with these 2 sixth sense lines? Airflo Sixth Sense Fly Line - Lines Fishtec or Airflo Sixth Sense Intermediate Lines - Fly Lines Fishtec

This year Airflo revamped the sixth sense range of lines so that the coatings have built in depth markers.The older lines like the one I use are all one colour.The new lines are more expensive and the older models are cheaper.Igot mine fron Tacklediscounts on ebay for£20 plus postage
