All the ones I have seen have had a "Made in Korea" sticker on the butt end.
I have four of the old Streamflexes and the thing that concerns me is the lack of consistency across the range.
- The 6' 6" #3 is very stiff, more like a #5, but if you fish small overgrown streams with the possibility of a good fish or two it does a job.
- The 7' 6" #3 is ok but too stiff in the tip for my liking.
- The 8' 6" #4 feels quite nice but has a nasty flat spot on the top join.
- The 9' #3 is a fabulous rod for upstream nymph and dry fly and is easily my favourite rod.
I owned a 10' #3, some swear by them for short line nymph tactics. Me, I found it a soulless method and quickly sold the rod on.
As always the moral of the story is, whenever possible try before you buy.
