Hi guys!

I am the owner of a Daiwa OSPREY-S Salmon rod 14" #10-11. I got it from a friend. It is a Spey rod which is not so recent so I am wondering what kind of fly line could be combined with it for a proper balance.

If you have any advice or experience on this rod, I would be happy to discuss.

As it says on the sticker.A 10/11 line would work it perfectly.any of the latest multi tip 9/10/11 lines should have it in balance.If you wanted a DT line I personally would go for a 10#But you might find that an 11# suited your style better.

Thanks for your reply! I will look into the multitip but yeah as far as I remember the DT line type was among the recommended lines however the multitips nowadays are so much better to adapt to the water conditions.
