Looking to spend my pennies on a sturdy pair of rubber soled wading boots. Sonik SK3s come up as the cheapest brand option around.

Anyone got any? Have they lasted? I've used cheap walking boots up til now because I walk long stretches of my river covering a few miles so they'll get worn pretty hard.

What size do you need? Grommit still has some Snowbee studded rubber soled ones in stock I think.

I think the studs will be a problem as I'm roaming about beside the river. Roughly how much are the snowbee boots?

I got a pair of the Soniks at the start of the season and I do a lot of bankside walking too.

Absolutley no complaints from me - comfortable all day long and durable.

For the money - a bargain.

Just what I needed to hear, thanks. Have you got the Sk3s or sk4s? I've seen them at the same price.

I use Visions - combination of studded felt abd rubber tips - very impressed with them after one season, and cheap too - around 60 quid.

I dont like studs were wading due to noise / effect on fish ( or is that in my head ? ) , but they giove so much grip.

Once you're not walking on tarmac etc for long , they are fine. Excellent on muddy grassy banks etc
