These rods aren't in the UK yet, I have a 9wt croscurrent glx and this is a cannon of a rod, I also have a nrx 7wt so sweet.
The bottom 3 sections of the pro4x are made of there GL3 carbon and the tip is made of there NRX carbon, I would of thought that these rods have a responsive tip section with a nice not so stiff bottom section.
I love the loomis rods for swff, I'm going to get the 10wt pro4x for big pike flies after xmas.
Have a look on ebay there is a UK company selling them, but you might have to wait because of shipping.

If you want to do swff in the UK for bass then go for the 8wt much better
