Default Clear or coloured Intermediates?

I'm interested in peoples views on Intermediates. Do clear inters spook less fish than coloured ones especially in clear water? I've always used clear ones but the coloured ones are definitely nicer to fish as they don't need a monocore.

Caught fish on both but have a Greys Platinum clear intermediate at the moment and really like it!

I have fished with both clear and coloured inters and I couldn't really find any difference in catch rates with either, if anything the coloured was better as I was able to fish better with it compared to the mono core inter.

The argument of spooking fish shouldn't be an issue as long as the line isn't a silly colour and your using an appropriate length of leader as the task requires.

Clear flashes quite a bit on sunny days, but blends in well in clear water.

I have used both and not noticed any difference in catch rate, but agree that coloured braid core are nicer to fish with. The Cortland Blue intermediate is a very popular and successful intermediate, I use one myslelf, but its a ridiculous colour really I suppose if you still use a reasonably long leader then fly line colour shouldn't matter too much, any more than it does for any other sinking line.

I'm the same and used both with no noticeable difference in catch rates, airflo's sixth sense intermediates now get my vote.

You always hear that it shouldn't make a difference if you are not lining the fish. But if you are blind casting its hard not to line fish.
However if there isn't a noticeable difference I'll try a coloured one as they don't coil.

Thanks.
