Default I Would Like Information on Rod Action;

Hello,

Specifically I would like to know if you have any experiences with the vintage Hardy Sovereign line of rods. These were made a while back and I am considering buying one in 14' 6". I will hazard a guess that whether you have cast a 9' 6" or a two hand rod the actions will be similar throughout the line up of rods.

Thank you for any reply,

Ard

If you happen to know anyone who plans to sell one of these rods in 13' or longer please drop me a PM here. I will consider any Hardy 2 hand rod but would prefer the Sovereign line.

Ard,I do not think your suppposition regarding the action throughout the range is really based on any reliable facts. and that the actions will not be in any way similar from the single handed rods to the D/h rods.just because they have Hardy and sovereign in the name means not a lot to the equallity of the action..

Im familiar with a 8'6" for #6 from this range, but agree with the post above.

I understand what you have replied and so I'll try to be more direct, does anyone use one of the old Sovereign 2 hand rods? If so could you describe your impression of the action of these rods.

Many Thanks,

Ard

I solved the problem, ..................... I bought a 15' # 10/11 Winston rod. I have a 13' #9 but wanted a longer rod for bigger rivers, the new one will chuck an 875 gr. line so all's well here.
