Default Waterproof/Resistant Digital Camera

Suggestions please! I want to get a reasonable one but don't want to be running into hundreds of pounds.

It would be good to get one that can handle close up images too, e.g. of insect life.

Thanks.

After trawling through the reviews on here I went for the Pentax Optio W30
I think it is waterproof to 2/3 meters.

I have had it a month and no problems nice big screen light so fits in your pocket £135 inc p&p www.ebuyer.co.uk do a search on here there are plenty of reviews.

There was a thread about this not so long ago..a search should throw it up.

The clear "Forum favourite" seemed to be the Pentax Optio Wxx. I have the W10 but I think it's up to about W30 now.

Just using the forum as it should be, to take advice from good honest people, oh and you unfortunately reading through other threads not everyone uses it for the same thing.

Default Optio W30

I'd recommend the Optio W30 which is what Kev uses for his blog and as you already know he takes some good pics with his, I also use one but my photographic skills aren't up to much .

Yes, Kev takes some good pics, so if its the same camera and its about £130 then I suppose I can't go wrong.

I think you need a bit of an "eye" for good pics..........I have two but neither are much good

All I need to do now is buy one and get it into the house without the missus noticing.

Thanks for all the feedback!!
