Nice rod, from a good maker and a reputable seller (North West Classic Tackle), but what an unusual method of selling such an item! Would someone really plonk down plastic for that amount of money from an ebay store?
Although a pricey item, it'd the standard going rate for a nice cane by a good tackle manufacturer with a history of cane like T&T, Winston, Orvis.
Nothing compared to the named builders however, like Moran, Brandin, Summers or Gray. And the sky's the limit for classic tackle - A flyer I received from Classic Angling said that a Hardy reel went for £13k in the recent Angling Auctions autumn run and $6100 for a cane at Langs'. It's a different world out there!
