Default uni-bobbers..........

hello folks.........has anybody on here man woman or child ever used flies with turalls Uni-Bobbers tied into them?

I want to get/make/tie a indicator ( or indicator fly) that is not a big lump of foam or floating yarn.
really i want an indicator fly that can float three herl body buzzers and looks like a natural insect be it a large sedge, daddy or hopper etc.

To me the Uni-bobber incorporated into a fly looks like a good idea. but has anybody actually used a fly with one, and would they float a team of 3 buzzers in stillwater?
i do not use heavy epoxy buzzers, i use ones with herl and fine fur bodies, so the buzzers are no too heavy.
cheers......

cax,

Like you, I wanted a indicator fly for fishing dry/droppers systems.
Using macrame cord, this is what I came up with. The fly is called the CFF [one hundred fish fly] C=Roman number for 100 - F= fish F=Fly. Named after a single fly caught 115 cutthroat trout over a weekend. Finally a cutthroat stole it.

The fly looks like this:

I generally use the fly on rivers/streams but have varied the body & wing colors to suit caddis on lakes.

Need more, give a shout.

regards,

Don Andersen

Something like this? I have used something like this made with seals fur in big fast waters, helps when going dark and visibility is poor, add a emerger, nymph or larva off the back end. Yes I have had solid takes on these monsters. These are also great for the wee'ans

I have got a selection of ethafoam beetles that fit the bill. I only use one buzzer under them but I am sure they would hold up a couple. They float all day................birdsnest
