Ive got this line as my floater, but its the only floating line Ive ever used so I cant really say if its good or not. Have yet to catch a fish on it, but Ive only used it twice so far.

Trout Fisherman Magazine though, give it the following score in the floating line tests they did:

Performance 19/20
Memory 18/20
Slickness 18/20
Floatability 17/20
Value 19/20
TF Rating 91/100

For a fiver more you can get Airflo's Sixth Sense line, which is what I tried to change my order to, but was too late as the ridge line had already been dispatched.

The Sixth Sense line was Trout Fisherman's "Best In Test" with an overall score of 94/100, scoring 19/20 on all the points above except Memory, in which it scored 18/20.

I wouldn't pick either of them - see other threads on Airflo floaters. They hold too much coil, basically but Airflo do make very good sinkers.

Best value/quality floaters are undoubtedly Shakespeare. They also make the lines for Snowbee and a few others. Take a look in the Classifieds section for the best deal. Rio and Cortland are also good floaters but pricey in the UK.

Airflo floaters = P.I.S.H

P = Prone (to memory)
I = Inferior (coating)
S = Sink (after a couple of outings)
H = Half as good as a Shakey or Snowbee

However! Their sinkers = S.U.P.E.R.B

S = .......oh, i can't be bothered any more.

In a word...Don't.

I have cast one..less memory than the standard airflo rubbish, but the usual plasticky feel and not a great taper.

Stick to Shakespeare made floaters.

*Harumph* Well damn, didnt think the line was all that bad. Guess Ill be changing mine! I trusted that magazine too! Bah!

You guys talking about the "Shakespeare Worcestershire" lines, or will the cheaper "Shakespeare Glider" lines do the job just as well?

I think the Glider is their slightly downmarket range. At 12.50 from PP, you can get the Worcestershire cheaper than the RRP of the Glider :

As usual i am with airflo i love all their lines and they are the most innovative company in fly fishing IMO and although this line does fel a wee tiny bit plasticy it is awesome and i like them.

I do not own one but hope to soon

I have used this ridge line on the last couple of trips and find it dissapointing to say the least. it has a fair amount of memory, feels strechy,and rough when retrieving. I have just bought a barrio line to replace it as I heard good reports but have yet to try it. and its a lot cheaper.
