Default Nomad Outcast 7 Piece #6 wt

Hi There,

I bid on a new Nomad Outcast 7 Piece #6 wt rod complete with rod bag on e-bay, paying £45+p&p and to date have been well pleased with it finding it more than capable of landing a 3 lb rainbow.

I was none too happy when I laid it down only to see it disappear over the side of the boat when a rainbw decided at that moment to take my fly. All ended OK as the rod and reel fortunately floated and after a bit of frantic rowing the rod, was retrieved complete with the fish .

My questions, does anyone on the forum rate these rods?

I have seen these rods advertised at prices up to £224 with 'special' offers of around £100. I am satisfied with my 'bargain' but does the rod really justify the high price or is it actually made to be sold at the lower prices?

Incidentally an excellent forum.

I've got one. Nine feet for a six weight. Don't use it very often but it lives in the boot of the car and on the odd occasion I get the chance to do a bit of opportunist fishing I've been well pleased.
