I have heard a number of people rave about these rods - having tried them they are good but not [imo] as good as the XP, GLX nor indeed the Bloke XL50. They are very light - the 9.5' ##7/8 weighs less than 3oz - worth buying if the price is right.

Yup, I have a 3 piece 5/6 9'0" I picked up off eBay. A very nice rod indeed. The range varies quite a bit, which model are you interested in?

My EV2 is a medium fast, a bit slower than a Sage XP, faster than a Sage SLT. Good for putting out 20-25 yards of line without much effort.

Don't know what a Loomis is like, but I like the EV2 better than the Bloke XL50 #6 and #5 I tried, The EV2 felt more alive than the Bloke(s), but that said the Bloke XL50 rods are very good and a lot cheaper than the EV2.

What will you use it for? River? Still water? Dry Fly? Bashing stockies with lures? Do you like a fast or more progressive action? soft or hard tip?

Mark
