Default Brown trout in Kenilworth

I have been convinced that the tiny Finham brook in Kenilworth would contain the odd brownie. I've only seen the odd chub so far, but last week I saw a gorgeous 12in brownie under the bridge by the castle, must of been about 10oz. I could not believe the size of it, most of the brook is no more than six foot wide and a few inches deep.

My friend lives near Kenilworth so will have to have a look if im up that way.
I think that a lot of our small streams are getting cleaner, and its great to watch the fish at close quarters.
Trouble is some of the local streams to me are so overgrown its mostly imposible to get a cast in.
If you can find some open water give it a go,you may be pleasantly suprised at the size of fish they hold!

Have you tried the stretch upstream from the bridge going into the common from Forge Road?

There used to be some browns there when I was a kid.

Also there used to be some near the common lane bridge.
