Thumbs up ............"DAY OUT WITHOUT FRED" ............

last Sunday i decided to have a go on Fred's local water without him ,he was chucking Christmas tree decorations at some dumb stockies somewhere in a comp dont know why he bothers he's not that good at comp fishing anyway ,

this is where i started

this is the bottom end of the above run

which runs into this deep pool and when viewed from above on the opposite high bank when you peer into the water its like an aquarium with some seriously good fish in it

taking one brownie from it

and one out of season

deciding to move further upstream i stopped to have a coffee amongst the gorgeous smelling wild garlic and bluebells

my next stop was here about a hundred yards from the waterfall upstream

taking one brownie

which didnt want to leave when returned

with that i moved above the waterfall to slower steadier paced water ,

taking six spotted fellows from this stretch

and this poor chap who had half his tail hanging off yet gave me a right run around the pool with definitely the best fight of the day , its tail was dried and some klinik(antiseptic) applied to it

i then decided to go further upstream to see what was about however having spotted a few they were now far from taking any interest at all ,
