Default Three Foot Rods Are Very Cool and Best for Small Streams

I saw a u-Tube video of someone from Norway or something like that (Germany is very similar isn't it?) casting with a line and no rod. He was most certainly making a better job of casting than I've ever managed with a rod and had a huge amount of line out.

For small streams, hand-lining has to be the answer. I shall try it next time..

..for about five minutes: you can't beat spanking a pristine part of Hampshire with a well made piece of cane.
