Default Bags and landing nets

Hi all, i have recently started to leave the waistcoat behind and just take a smallish bag for my small stream outings. I find that its easier to take a bottle of water and something to eat in a bag, rather than having lumps bulging everywhere in a waistcoat
Up to now i have been bringing everything to hand but know that sooner or later i will need a landing net. Hopefully
Any ideas as to how to attach a landing net to my bag, without it being too awkward! By the way im wading and not fishing from the bank.

Steve

For small stream fishing/wading do you even need a conventional net? Something small, narrow and shallow is all that is needed? If it has to be round why not something that can be confined in a pocket of the bag but springs into shape when removed?

Thanks for the ideas, i use magnets on the back of my waistcoat but the net is high enough up my back not to tangle in the undergrowth. Like the idea of a net that would spring into shape when pulled out of a pocket
I have seen old photos where the bag has 2 brass rings on the back which holds a short handled net, i was thinking trying that.

I've seen a circle of plastic material that does this which would be ideal. Its floppy. so you would need to be wading. Just allows you to scoop up the fish rather than grab the leader. Want something like this myself but can't remember when/where I saw it.
