Fishysir, you are going to make no friends here with that sort of attitude.
I have no problem with stocking, BUT it must be done within the scope of the law, in an environment that's suitable for the fish. if you widen/deepen this burn and dump a load of trout in it, why do you think they'll survive? you yourself say there are no other fish in the burn (i sincerely doubt this) but if true, it's clearly inhospitable to fish. widening/deepening it will not make it more attractive to trout, possibly the opposite. if you want to catch a stockie, go to one of the many Stillwaters that cater for you and I, if you want to destroy the environment, do it alone.
