hi, i have bought a new 7'6 3wt soft actioned fly rod for small river fishing.I have heard of people going a wt up with small soft actioned fly rods can any recommend it also can any recommend a good line for this type of rod.

If the rod is a soft action its unlikely to need to go a weight up.. use a DT3 the pirates are very good and cheap..

It does mean double taper, you would not really need a weight forward on such a small rod.

heard good things about the rio lt dt 3, considering getting one for my own set up, that or a snowbee delicate presentation

no mate i was set on the snowbee delicate presentation but someone on here recommended the rio lt, think the lt stands for light touch, good reviews of it online mate.

I'd second that. I really wouldn't consider paying for anything other than the pirates lines.
