Default Very affordable reel 3/4/5#

Hello,
I'm getting back into fly fishing after a long, long, time and could do with some advice please. I'm mainly concentrating on SWFFing at the moment, but having fished on small Cornish rivers and streams as a lad, and loved it and with a small boy of my own who is itching to have a go, I bought a Fladen 7ft 3# so we could have a rod to share. He gets to practice casting, I get to play on the river.
Now the SWFFing is taking the kings share of my budget, so I'm looking for a very affordable reel for the Fladen. Ideally with spare spools so I can keep his practice line and the river line separate. Something that won't unbalance the rod, but will hold the line. budget? as cheap as humanly possible without being totally rubbish.

Not asking much am I

Cheers.

I'm in a similar position, total new starter in my case but trying to put together sets of gear for lakes and streams at the same time

I started with a Fladen Power graphite reel that comes with a spare spool for less than a tenner and I still use this for my practice lines

alternatively, I've now moved 'up market' and bought a leeda profil aluminium reel, which does what I want it to do and has two spare spools. In fact someone on here is selling the smaller version of this for under £20

hope this helps, Dave

That's me

I bought it to go with an 8ft 4wt for my little boy. Although rated at 5/6 it suits a 4 wt very well and is quite small.

Still for sale
