Default French E-bay shop for restored Bamboo Rods

I have been drooling over some of the smaller rods this guy is offering especially that rod & reel combo for 155 Euro. He ships to the U.K. if any of you are interested!

Terry,

Some nice rods on there! I like the one with the cork reel seat!

I've just ordered another cane rod, a 7ft.3in, #3, 2piece, 2, tops, impregnated - should be ready by end of Jan 2011.

Hell Terry they are cheap as chips, and very nice.
That little Medalist reel looks good on cane.

Steven,

If ever it happens to me? I'll buy one for you! Unfortunately I'm still waiting!

I came across these rods a while ago whilst looking for a cane rod i was after. I may be totally wrong as im no expert, but i got the feeling they were built on the top two off former three piece rods. Nothing wrong with that and the rods look really well finished.
I really should stop looking at Ebay as i always get tempted by something, too much buying and not enough selling!
Really would like to go down Mostyns route and get one built, i certainly have some ideas in mind.

Steve

If I manage to refinance the mortgage the way I want then I may take a shot at one and will be able to write up a review on the shop. Looks like some are rebuilt from a couple of different rods and some are rebuilds from a single rod but they do look sweet and there's only one way to find out! Waders first though, I'm going to be needing them in Islay this May and I know the limits of the wife's fiscal patience!

Default bamboo rods

Bamboo rods are best as a gift or as an inheritance. I think that they are beautiful, but without an emotional attachment to go with the rod, the graphite is what comes out of the boot when you mean business.
