Default Waist waders

Hi all, its that time again for a new pair of waders I have chest waders for the deeper stuff but do like waist waders for the summer months on the small streams. Any advice on what bootfooted waist waders to buy? I know seperate boots have their advantages, but for short 2 to 3 hour sesssions i like easy on and off of the bootfoot type.

Steve

I bought myself a pair of Shakespeare waist waders.Cost £20.
First pair had a leak in the crutch so i took them back and ended up with two pairs and a tube of aquasure.
Im not a tall person so size 10 fit me like chest waders.
I am into my third year and the only problem with both is the crutch where everything joins.
Aquasure has cured the leak there.
I had the money for Orvis many years ago now and i was told by the agent not to waste my £120 pound.
For £120 i can get Three tyres for my car.
I hope i dont need a battery ive got the charger on because the battery is flat.

I have the Snowbee bootfoot,They have been brilliant,But they are getting near the end of their life, just use them as waterproof trousers now.But the replacement by Snowbee are stockingfoot.I have a pr of Ron Thompson neoprene.but after wearing breathable waders I find the neoprenes heavy and clumsy.

I managed to get a pair of Ocean Nova waist waders for 40 quid in a sale!
I think they are normally about 99quid.

They are superb quality and by the time you hitch them up they are up to your chest anyway! lol

I can thoroughly recommend these kind.

Cheers
Russell

Thanks for all the advice, looks like waist waders with a bootfoot are getting pretty hard to find. I should have mentioned that i was after a breathable pair for the summer.
I had a really good pair made by Hodgmans which took alot of abuse, but now sadly are past their best. Dont think they make waist waders now.

Regards Steve

i had a pair of theese in stocking foot which gave way at the neoprane boots other than that ok the bootfoots may last longer
Scierra Cc3 Breathable Boot Foot Waist Waders

i kept on forgetting they were waist and frequently went over the fly zip which is not that waterproof

I've got a pair of Ron Thompson waist waders with cleated sole. They are not breathable but they are not neoprene either so are a little more supple. Not the most high tech but not bad at all for those short sessions. I notice that Fishtec are doing a breathable waist wader (airflow I think) with stocking or felt foot for £59.99 bargain.......................(I ought to be on commission) birdsnest

I have these in stocking foot. OK at the price I paid but not VFM at RRP. Front zip is fine but front pockets can collect water and eventually leak if you don't zip them up when wading to the limit.

They have far too many seams especially inside leg area, and the fit is a bit odd - not long enough in the leg and too big in the waist and foot (XL) - I'm 'flanker going to seed' build but they'd suit a sasquatch prop. Build quality is poor with seam tape coming adrift, but they don't leak yet and i have thrashed then over 6m.
