Default good sea trout

while fishing the river garnock yesterday i got a real shock as sea trout are near non existant while trotting the worm i had the slightest of knocks having been pestered with par i decided to let the fish chew away when suddenly i got a right good pull and struck to my amazement it was a sea trout just under 3.5lb which in this day and age is a super fish for the garnock so thought i would post a picture

Yeah you've got small pounds down there than us in the highlands, up here that fish would be under a pound, either that or you've got very big grass

Personally I believe him, the fish could easily be over 3lb, but hard to tell from a quick photo like that - needs a rod or net in the photo to give an idea of scale... still I chuckled at the big grass comment .

Well done on the fish humungus - must've given you one hell of a shock

5 or 6lb? Hard to tell from the photo without some reference for scale but it has the grilse kinda look about it. Lovely fish whatever the weight.

1lb 4oz?

Scotland's well known for its very small grass.
