Default A BIG weekend on the Towy

Sewinman has been struggling with the sewin for a few seasons, but all of a sudden he's having a great season. I think he's caught 8 or 9 sewin from the Towy thus far, having only fished 3 days this season, and this weekend landed these beauties!!

Sewinman's first fish which my scales claimed was 9lbs (we later found they are jammed at 9lbs!!) but which Jamie estimated at 12lbs-ish

Sewinman's second fish which was estimated at 10lbs-ish:

Glynn (FryFly|)'s second schoolie:

10 sewin between the 5 fishermen in all over the 2 days with 4 on spinners and 6 on the fly.

Great weekend,

Bri

Great fish boys and brilliant to see them coming out of the Towy!

Is it catch and release down there yet and were those fish returned by any chance?

Well done!

All the fish we caught were returned, though none of us are agin taking a nice fresh sewin for the table. Surely a responsible angler is always going to look at magnificent doubles and put them back into the gene pool hopefully.

No need for compulsory C&R on the Towy Sewin just yet I hope.

Super fish - well done guys.

The Towy can be a hard nut to crack in my experience, but when things are up, it can really throw up some gold

Great stuff! Absolutely right, we need to keep magnificent doubles in the gene pool!

I haven't made it out on the Towy this year yet but you've just seriously wet my appetite!!! This rain is just what we needed!
