Default materials?

Am i right in thinking i do not need to be useing my whiting capes for the sea trout flies?Could you please tell me the best place to get capes, hooks,etc? thank you.

I guess the same thing could be said for virtually any trout fly though Horses.No need to be buying any more capes if you already have a perfectly good Whiting at your disposal....

DJ...Whiting are a genetic hackle producer like Metz,Hoffman,Spencer etc.
