Is there any access to the tidal teifi (below Llechryd)? I know that the TTA waters extend to Llechryd but does anybody have the fishing below or is it a free for all (with a licence of course) being tidal. Has anybody fished here for seatrout / salmon ? it doesn't look too bad a stretch.....................birdsnest

The only issue is rights of access. There's the footpath from Llechryd bridge, past Castell Malgwyn Hotel, to Cilgerran and there are a number of spots you could get in to fish a spinner or a worm - it's heavily 'treed'. On the opposite bank, TTA had the fishing for a couple of fields below the bridge, I'm not sure if that's still the case.

According to the maps that I have, the TTA still have a couple of meadows below the bridge. It is below these that I am interested in, even as far down as Cardigan bridge and beyond.......................birdsnest

I am pretty sure the left bank below Llechryd bridge is private - I recall seeing the rights for sale a few years ago. I have at the back of my mind that the Nevern AA has some rights on the lower Teifi. I may have this wrong but Cothi would know, as he is (or was) a member. Try him over on Gethin's forum. Alternatively, I bet Steffan would know. Try contacting him on his forum.
