Sea Trout in the Tees

Hi, does anyone know what the situation is regarding sea trout on the Tees, particularly in the upper reaches ?. I realise the barage is a big issue, but what , if any are the runs like and is it specifically worth targeting them.

pretty bleak dont think it will ever change now a big lump of concrete in the way. they would rather swip the canoe course than the ladder.

Hi Sammo,

The Wear is a great sea-trout river.
The Tees looks as though it should be. It would be if the barrage was dealt with.

The Tees holds some big brownies though - why not target them?

Both vastly underrated rivers IMO.
