Welcome to the forum.

If you have a standard reservoir rod, that will do the job just fine. Anything from a 9' #7 through to a 10' #8 will get you started.

If you are fishing an estuary try and use salt proof reel and rod fittings.. Or be very very careful to wash all traces of salt from them.
