Default DEVON RIVER GAME FISHING

Hello,
Am moving from Cornwall to Ivybridge Devon.
Can anyone advise me on any local salmon/sea trout river fishing in the area?
Many thanks,
180.

Default Ivybridge fishing

The tavy and it s tributaries is very close although there is a long waiting list for full membership but the open waters are very good.

Catchbook - Social Fishing Network - River Tavy, Walkham and Plym, Devon

The Devon avon is a very good little river with solid runs of sea trout and back end salmon till end of november.

The plym and the meavy can be ok during the summer and autumn but not as good as the tavy or the avon.

The erme and the yealm are also near by and have modest but worthwhile sea trout runs.

The mouth of the yealm can be very good for sea bass as well.

The dart is a little further away but access can be difficult or expensive.

Hope it helps a bit.

Further to Ed's comment the Plym is on your doorstep, underfished and quite possibly under rated (I had a 4lb-6 seatrout off the lower Plym last month). You might want to take a look at

Plymouth and District Freshwater Angling Association

The Tamar is well worth a shout too

Launceston Anglers have lots of water at a bargain yearly membership (also water on the Inny).

Very good day tickets for salmon & sea trout here on more 'private' beats:

Default Salmon/seatrout in devon

Thanks to all for replies.
I have membership of a couple of clubs, but would like to know of any opportunities to join a syndicate.
My nearest rivers are the Erme, Avon,Yealm Teign and Dart.
Any information would be very much appreciated.
Thanking you, 180.

You could always join the Upper Teign Fishing Association, superb sea trout fishing, but i am biased.
Cheers

Default Sea Trout in Devon

Call Philip Prowse - Dart Angling Assoc. Very helpful

If you PM me I'll send you his number.

River Dart has some good Sea Trout and Salmon.

As does Upper Teign
