Ed,
The Loch Lomond system is not a system for the early season. There may be the odd fresh salmon about in April but last year the main spring run didn't start until the first week in May.
Sea trout have to be returned in April on the Lomond system.
There are a lot of trout (I'm afraid I can't tell whether these are sea running trout or not) which have spawned and by April are well on the way to recovery. These can be in good conditon. Last year there were quite a lot of these still around in the feeder rivers until mid May and it seems there were a fair number on Lomond.
The main sea trout runs start in late June but as always there will be fresh seatrout around before then but not many.
Sorry, I can't help with a guide.
