Default Newcastle Emlyn

I shall be having a crack at the TTA waters on the Teifi around Newcastle Emlyn a little later this year. Anybody know of any decent digs in the area ? A few tips on flies, hotspots, other methods would not go amiss either. I normaly fish higher up the river so this is new ground for me...............birdsnest

If you're after self catering I rent out a cottage downstream of Emlyn,

My contact details are on the web site, feel free give me a ring if you'd like some advice on where to try.

I also run the TTA website which offers details of more accommodation, check

Welcome to the Teifi Trout Association

It's a great area, you'll really enjoy it!

A few years ago I was lucky enough to accompany a few of the TTA members out for an evening whilst I was staying down there. We had a good night with 2 or 3 fish up to 3lbs caught during very extremem low water, all the fish seemed to be holding up at newcastle!! But there was 1 major draw back it turned out to be like combat fishing! Some lads even entered the pool below me and started fishing upstream towards me as I was just working down to the "taking" zone. The lads I was with soon sorted it out though. I think they were comittee members and were friendly with the chap who had the tackle shop in the indoor market in Cardigan.
