I started fishing the river leven half way through the season last year and since then have caught four or five seatrout each about three pounds. This year i would like to ame for more sea trout but the bigger ones, and as i have not been fishing the river for very long i was wondering if any one in the forum knew about any good runs on the river or any good flies to use. I am specificly looking for information on the dumbarton side of the river.

Hi Grant, I also fish the leven for sea-trout. you should count yourself extremely lucky to connect with that class of fish. Teal, blue and silver, dark mackeral, silver stoat,medicine, artificial grub tied on low water singles. Tight lines for 2012.
