Default Frustration

Its been a really difficult season on the local beck, the rains havent come and have ended up with one fish all season, Then on Saturday ( bonfire Night ) we had a nice little spate coinciding with a good high tide at midnight. Result when I walked the dog down the beck on the morning we spent an interesting hour watching many many sea trout taking the weirs . Fish to 7 or 8 lb... Is it me or is this the most frustrating form of fly fishing???

Hi Andy, At the very least, you know they still run the gauntlet at you're local river. Fascinating fish to watch.

Give your leg a rest and sort your prep's out for next season.

All the very best

Stuart

I held a wish to catch a sea trout on fly for years , and in the past I have joined angling clubs on decent sea trout rivers but a couple of hours away, For years I paid the subs and made the journey when I could but always got there either to late or two early, My local beck doesnt get many runs but the fish can be big , there have been double figure fish out of it. At least I can be there when the fish do visit, as its only 5 mins from my door.
