These were my mainstream flies for the Dyfi when I used to fish it every week a few years ago... I'm sure you have your own favourites, but these were never off my cast

Day flies (flood water cleaning off a nice breezy day) -

Point fly- size 14/16 treble
Tail - sparse lime green (glo-brite numbers 11 and 12 mixed)
- like Viva
Body - Black thread or floss
Rib - fine oval silver tinsel
Throat hackle - blue cock hackle fibers
Wing - slim orange bucktail underwing with slim black bucktail over
1 strand of fine UV either side
Jungle Cock optional

Droppers - size 12 Peter Ross on middle dropper tied slim, sparse zulu with hen hackles only on top dropper

Night time flies -
Point fly - 2" aluminium tube
no body
wing - slim black bucktail with 2 strands of fine UV and 2 strands of fine red flashabou either side
Jungle cock
Red thread head

Dropper -

1.25" or 1.5" aluminium tube
no body
wing - slim sky blue bucktail with 4 strands of fine peackock flashabou over
jungle cock
red thread head
