Default This effing drought!!!!!!!!!!!

Now i know little bits of this island have had no rain since records began, but i am getting a tad hacked with the amount the rest of us are getting!!
Every time i arrange to go sea trout fishing, no matter where, it pours constantly for two days prior to my arrival.
Result? river in full flood, no chance of fishing, never mind night time sea trout!
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed this?
regards
bert

More rain=more water=more seatrout. Simples.

We've got the largest run of salmon and seatrout on the Kyle since many a year, very few sealice and big buggers of fish. The problem with us at this time of year is not the lack of fish, but that it doesn't get really dark at all. I took a 5lb grilse last friday at 12.30am, it was light enough for me to change my fly without a torch. There's plenty of seatrout about but unless it clouds over at night your pretty much buggered. In high fast water you should be using a fast sinking line and larger fly.

Oh i know what to use alright, but aint the problem, is the fact that rivers are colour of treacle coffee with resulting debris coming down!

Sit tight boys, in years to come Scotland and Wales will make a fortune selling water to the South East of England! You read it here first.....

Good point stream, unfortunately the price they charge us for OUR gas/oil is a tad more expensive than water Just a joke with a jibe, no intention of changing the subject
