Default Cuckmere River Sea Trout - Sussex

Last year (2010) I heard reports of sea trout being caught by those targeting bass in the Cuckmere river and around the river mouth. I plan to have a shot this year myself.

If you want to share/trade knowladge please post here or PM me.

Yes - dawn is best for both bass and s/trout. - so you need be in the water around 4.00 am! Choose a spring tide , now or at the end of the month and fish a sinktip. Fish from low water up for an hour or 2. Good luck.

Remember in England and Wales a game licence is required to fish for and keep seatrout and salmon even if taken in the salt! Also, hen Bass do not mature before they reach 42 cms so it is pleasing if small
fish are returned...here endeth the lesson
