Question line help please

hi guys
Can anyone offer me some general info
i fish on the River Ogmore in Bridgend small to medium sized river and currently use a Sage rpl 9'6" #6 for general fishing and sea trout fishing. I also have a Sage rplx 9' #8 for heavier work when fishing for sea trout. Can anyone help i have reels loaded with floating intermidiate and sink tip for both set ups, is this the right set up etc or do i need a different set up. Any info what so ever would be gratefully recieved.

Can't see anything wrong with your setup. The 9' 8# I would use more for salmon or big seatrout.but otherwise, fine.
I use 10' 7# for seatrout.10'8# for salmon.on a medium sized river.but could swap round if needed. (I have 9'6'' rods in both weights as a backup )

Thank you Jim
We have some really big sea trout entering the river and some cracking salmon to but same old same old its catching them i suppose. I will fish with a little more confidence knowing there maybe nothing wrong with my set up

Might be an idea to get rio windcutter multitip #7 comes with floating, intermediate, medium sinking, and fast sinking 15' tips.
Means you could use one reel set up for both rods.
At night, and indeed during day, bonus is you dont haveto fumble around changing spools, just tips!
Travel light fish hard.

Your set up is fine, the Ogmore is not a big river. and i would be more than happy, using your setup.

Regards,

Dai.
