Default Hi

Great stuff,

It was hell of a windy when we went on but we only had
the one day so we went for it anyway.

Had a look at your blog, good pics! The quality of the
boats for the DFFA and the boats that the caravan site
has were first class - water is as alwatys gin clear and
super place to fish.

Interestingly my mate can't understand why I
always head to Watten when I am up, as a local
he prefers a few others to Watten - it's next door
neighbour Toftingdale is top of his list.

Go here every year for a week allways get my boat and engine from hugo ross , who is always on hand for some info of whats working and whats not . The boats and engines are always in great nick , as for the fishing well its all wild browns avg about a 1lb with the odd one a bit bigger . On a nice summer evening session it does not get any better than here . In my opinion Scotlands top loch

Default April 10th Sunday 2011 Thurso trip

Chaps,

Going to Thurso and planning a fishing trip Sunday 10th
April.

Looking for somewhere that is open for boat fishing on
a Sunday and also where the season has started (some
are as late as 1st May).

My usual destinations are Watten and Calder but not
this early in the season.

We were thinking of St. Johns but someone told me that
it can be a nightmare if windy and the water colours up
easily.

Any suggestions - what tatics for early April apart from
4 jumpers and three pairs of socks?

Cheers!!!
