Default Okuma Helios

A friend is looking for a SWFF reel budget c £100.

I suggested the Lamson Konic but also mentioned the Okuma Helios always get a good right up on here.

He said he is having difficulty located one as they are no longer made. Is there a new model / replacement out.

Thanks

No. From what I gather Okuma had a falling out with the German company that made the Helios (and some of their good centrepins). A real shame as the Helios is a fantastic reel.

Thanks Bruce,

I think he has phoned them and they have non in stock - he is also concerned about spare spools at a later date if the reel is out of production.
