Default Spring ragworm flies for bass

Another spring hatch along our coast and in the harbours is the ragworms.

Has anyone targeted bass with ragworm flies at high tide in spring. If you have how was it?

"Breeding takes place in the spring but has been recorded as early as late February. When the worms breed the males leave their burrows and swarm at the surface at high tide. The males swimming with an eel like motion whils releasing sperm. This is known as the epitoke stage. At the same time the non-epitokous females release eggs from the surface of their burrows. The worms are mature after about 2-3 years, they breed once and then die." Source The Sea Shore

I'm not sure when they spawn here? I've seen them in poole harbour in feburary but theres no bass about then. If they are free swimming when bass are around then they will get eaten sure enough.
