I'm off to Cape Verde (Sal I think the island is, at Santa Maria in the South) at the end of March. Anyone been and any feedback on SWFF from the beach or booking a charter for the day for some wahoo / tuna etc?

Probably will give the marlin a miss as don't want to troll for a day without a hit - would rather mess it up with the smaller guys on a 12-14 weight!

Try aenoon on here he was there 2011 dont know what part but was impossible to fish from beach with fly due to size of breakers 30 feet im told.
He posted some pictures on here

Thanks. That's a different Island so I'm hoping for a little more clement shores. The photos on the hotel website and on googleearth look like it's not too bad in terms of breakers where we're going.
