Default Recent trip to South Andros

I thought I'd post a few photos from my recent trip to South Andros. I had two and half days with a guide. On the half day I managed to convince my wife to come out and take a few photos of me fishing.

My guide, Alvin:

Me all covered up from the sun:

Flats for miles:

A decent bone:

A big surprise on the second day. I hooked this 16lb 'cuda and surprisingly it never managed to cut the fluorocarbon tippet. Who needs a wire trace?

Must remember to take the buff and sunglasses off for the photo with the wife:

Sunset after another great day:

All 'n all, around 40 bonefish including 4 I got in an hour or so's wading on my own on a "day off".

From Andros we went to the parents 'n law's place in Vero Beach, Florida, where I caught baby tarpon, sea trout, snook, catfish, lady fish, redfish and a couple of others on the fly. Nothing huge but good fly fishing!

Nice pics Steve, those Barracuda are one of the most under rated species on the fly

Cheers guys. Yup, those 'cuda are fun on a fly rod. When it first ran I thought I was going to lose the lot. It peeled off so much line so fast it wasn't funny. I had to palm the reel hard. It exposed a loose loop in my backing that I had never seen before. (A 5lb bonefish fixed that loop the next day!)
