Default 2nd bass

well i went out this morning in the hopes of adding a new species to the list of fly caught in the salt water world,

i was out at 7 am as it was getting light to test my new airflo d1 7 cold water stripper line and some new hooks which are almost the same as the mustad 340007 but with a sharper point and has a micro bard as i hate those butcher size barbs on the 34007 really nasty for catch and release,

any way it was about 7.20 am my size 1 white, olive and silver fritz clouser minnow was taken by a bass of around 1lb in weight give or take a few ounces a few fast pics and it went back as all my bass do anyway ,, i had a few other plucks which may have been the bottom but will never know on them hahaClick the image to open in full size. and if i have done this right the fly i managed to catch it on although the fritz is more to add vibration in the deep water...Click the image to open in full size.

Nice one Dami, good to see they're still about in there! It just goes to show how warm it's been lately. I'll have to get back down there to give it another go

Well done on catching such a healthy looking bass so late in the season and for having the determination to go out looking for them.
