me and zandee boy had the last sea fishing trip of the season, out with the burretts yesterday...
he was so looking forward to this one...
the weather was so bad, we could not get out near the big fish marks, but the skipper matt burrett again came up trumps with a game plan that saved the day, he took us too a big sheltered bay and anchored up close to the rock face. putting the wee guy on a rag worm rig... "boy was it like letting the dog off the lead" lol zandee boy was skelpping into fish left right and centre....
the wee guy must have caught an easy 50 odd fish most of them wrasse, and 4 different type, he also had: pollock, coalie, mackerel, dog-fish & a few poor cod...
he had 3 big wrasse around the 4lb mark, but he could not hold them for the camara on the day... wee butter fingers lol we did not want to harm the fish so no big fish pic
he had a good range of size of wrasse from wee tiddlers to a few around the 4lb mark but most were about 2lb ave. but you will all agree awesome sport for a young lad..
he also had a couple of pollock around the 3lb mark on a float rig that nearly pulled him in lol
a big poor cod, matt the skipper said this is one of the biggest poor cod he's seen...

talk about a right handful.
i also managed a few new fish on the fly...
and another highlight of the day for us, was when skipper matt burrett, let the wee boy drive the boat round the bay aye "doughnuts" lol but last and not least, hands up i must admitt matt burrett pull it out the hat yesterday because when i got there at first i thought it was mission impossible and it ended up another memorable day.
