Hey Rob
Most locations will have boats that supply gear but my experience has been that this gear is very heavy and an overkill for most but the biggest fish.
As it goes, I have around 4 conventional rigs for anything from 12-30lb set ups plus a few medium sized spinning rigs.
That aside, I do also have enough lures to start my own shop
So, with any borrowing, we should all be ok for a crew of up to 6plus.
I think it would be great if we ended up with 6-10 people.
As for timelines, well, I think from the early Spring onwards of next year as that allows us to get over Christmas and the snowboarding season (well, for me at least

)
Waddya think?
Ben

Jeff, You may be suprised at how cheaply some of these trips can be done.
I look ed at Kilwa for when I am in Tanzania next week. A perfectly suitable 18ft boat for around £200 a day and flights at £300 and accomodation for maybe £50 a day or thereabouts.
Remember that a boat can be shared by 3 people for that size and it works out even cheaper.
For sure, you
may be looking at £1000 for a week but compared to how much it could be for the usual places and it is much cheaper. That is cheaper than many holidays and includes your fishing too
I think Kilwa also has mangroves full of jacks and the like and canoes......just mind the scaley-backs
I am also thinking that if a resort/lodge gets booked out by the same party, we could wangle a discount too
Just a thought.
