Default On the fly around Anglesea

Am taking a trip over to this area soon on a 3 day trip fishing river and lochs on the way,
Can anyone give me any advice of where to fish on the fly around the sea, never done it buts sounds very appealing from reading the posts on here..
Thanks
Glen

Not many lochs in Anglesey, or on the way, best they can offer is Llyn Alaw. Llyn Cefni and Coron currently have some blue green algae restrictions - weather dependent - could clear.

For SWFF, it's a sort of transition month, bass should still be good on the western marks. Penmon and Puffin sound eastern marks are worth checking out, and should also offer superb mackerel fishing most evenings. Check with Malcolm at ABC tackle, in the filling station outside Beaumaris, for excellent up-to-the-minute information.

As mentioned, Penmon point is well worth a look.

The best advice i can give is to have a chat with the bearded chap in the fishing shop at Baumaris (cant remember how spell it!). He is a legend and there is not alot that he doesn't know about anglesy. His shop is also fantastic and worth a look.

Few years since i was there though.

Cable Bay between Ros Niger and Aberfraw and the back beach arround the churchisland at Aberfraw where good in the 70s for Mackerel, Mullet and Bass. Amlych was good for Mackerel and Pollock.
Long time ago but I also had a few fish around Doctors island and Plas Newid on the fly

You might have to check some of the spellings from Flybye against the map as not even those who live there would recognise some of the attempts. Ros Niger had me foxed for a few seconds
