Hello all

I’m off to Poole with the family next week for a week and as usual, I am trying to sneak in a bit of fishing.

I would appreciate any info of what flyfishing opportunities there are down there. I wouldn’t mind a bit of saltwater fishing if it is productive, but would also be interested to hear if theres any decent dayticket rivers that are worth a visit?

Plenty of good saltwater fly fishing in that region. I'm afraid you're unlikely to get people telling you specifically where to go though. SWFF can be productive but there is a steap learning curve when you come from freshwater and you're unlikley to be productive first time. Thats not to say that you can't and won't catch a bass. Lots of threads on here and UKSWFF with lots of advice though.

Richard Slococks beats of the Piddle and Frome are close by River,chalk stream fishing,Fly fishing in Dorset,trout fishing,fishing in Dorset,Fly Fishing on the River Frome,Piddle
and well worth a shot. Not far to decent beats of the Avon (or Stour) for coarse fishing and game in the Salisbury area.
