Default Hafan y mor - pwillhi

I'm at the holiday park for the next few days.

Postcode - ll53 6hx

Looking on google earth there seems to be rocks to the west and esturyies to the east.

Just wondering at this time of year which I should go for?

Pollock of the rocks?

Mullet coming up river?

Or bass?

I'm a river man really so any help/guidance appreciated.

Alex

Angling on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales with www.LlynAngling.net

But again any help may still be needed.

The rocks at Penychain, say "Penny Chain" for the locals to understand, will be great for mackerel at dawn. Calm seas best.

Talking of pennies, the penny has just dropped, you are booked to holiday at a former concentration camp known as 'Butlitz'. Enjoy your stay.

Mackerel are certainly on the cards and a chance of bass too nearer cricieth or pwllheli harbour.

Just come back from a hour or so on penny chain rocks. It's about five mins from my chalet.

Nothing - so trying again at dawn - on holiday so not going to rivers.

The parks actually quite good - no school dinners, instead Starbucks etc.

I'd recommend it in fact - just make sure you upgrade!

Visited this park several times. Over the years
Sea fishing around here is best done off the beach with heavy sea gear.
launce/squid raps of the big pebble beach to the far right of the camp.
Its quite a walk along the higher cliffs but worth it..you know year in the right spot when you look of the cliffs down at a big shale beach between you and pwllheli
A lot of locals fish at dusk with spinning gear for bass at pwllheli
back of golf course!

Also Lots of Rays, smooth hounds dog fish and Joey's.

also (black bream light float gear)

weather was pretty poor when I visited two weeks ago. so I only used the spinning gear for an hour this time..fly rod didnt get a look in.

Mullet in the harbour as well feed them on bread then cast a small white fly in the middle when they are confident..
I didn’t see them this year as the sea was too rough....churning the water in the harbour up.

Night time light rod peeler crab on large hook size 2 Aberdeen three or four breakers out..
They just snatch the rod out of your and when they hit...scent of crabs bring them on..change bait every 15 minutes...when they hit its rock and roll
